Mastering Emotional Intelligence

Emotional Intelligence (EQ) skills are essential for leadership success and business growth. In a world where people are critical to business performance, enhancing EQ is the power behind increased profitability. But how can business leaders get started with EQ development? Studies have found there are 10 key factors that form the basis of a distinctive model of EQ. Together, these create effective leadership – or what we call Emotional Capital.

There are a multitude of ways we can measure, train and develop emotional capital combining assessments, workshops and coaching. Schedule your call to discuss what’s possible for you and/or your team.

The Mastering EQ Leadership programme in four steps:

Step 1: Assess the EQ of your leaders with Emotional Capital Report

Invite programme participants to measure their EQ using the world's most advanced emotional intelligence assessment developed by Roche Martin: The Emotional Capital Report (ECR). The ECR is a psychometric assessment that measures an individual's key skills in EQ against the world's top performing leaders to understand their leadership potential and EQ development areas to impact positive outcomes in work and in life.

Step 2: Workshop #1 - Educate leaders on the value of EQ while enhancing their understanding of their own EQ and leadership effectiveness

This interactive full day workshop introduces the key concepts of EQ and includes a deep-dive into the competencies of: self-reliance; empathy; straightforwardness; and optimism. Participants will receive feedback based on their ECR Self-Assessment report, providing valuable insights into their personal profiles and allowing them to identify areas for growth. They will also create a tailored Personal Action Plan to set specific leadership goals aligned with their EQ profiles. Additionally, participants will have access to ongoing digital learning via SmartCoach, featuring seven 90-minute journeys to further their understanding. Each participant receives a complimentary copy of Dr. Martyn Newman’s best-selling book to enrich their EQ knowledge.

Step 3: ECR 360° Feedback so participants understand how others experience them and expose blind spots and opportunities for growth

Run comprehensive 360° EQ assessments with Roche Martin’s ECR 360. Each participant receives a personalised 1:1 face to face 90 minute de-brief, allowing them to gain new insights and start to create an action plan for creating positive changes to increase their leadership capability.

Step 4: Workshop #2 - Go deeper and create an action plan for tangible change

On the second full day workshop, leaders will take a deep dive into the remaining EQ competencies of: self-knowing; self-confidence; self-control; relationships; adaptability; and self-actualisation. Through interactive exercises, participants will apply their EQ knowledge to real-world leadership challenges, enhancing practical skills. Card sort activities will help them identify the emotional skills that underpin each competency, fostering greater self-awareness. Finally, leaders will finesse their personal action plans to ensure their learning translates into actionable steps creating palpable change. This comprehensive approach prepares participants to elevate their leadership and transform their team's performance.
